ALMA Kids

ALMA Kids

In 2013 the largest observatory on Earth, ALMA (The Atacama Large Millimeter/sub-millimetre Array) hired me to be in charge of "making ALMA more friendly to kids and school students".

ALMA happens to be in my home country, Chile, so I met with the head designer team at their Santiago offices face to face and they told me: "The current ALMA website is meant to be used for scientists, astronomers or journalists, but we want to invite people to know the observatory, what we do and why it's so important!".

I read and did so much research for this project. We worked together for almost two years on these illustrations and making ALMA more accessible for kids and the public.

We even made a comic together!
